Towards becoming European Capital of Culture together! Under this motto we invited artists, creatives, thinkers, visionaries, designers, cultural initiatives, organisations and everyone interested to submit their STARTprojects on the topic of “border(s)” in all its colours and variations.

At the end of March 2018, the jury convened, and we were happy to present the ten selected STARTprojects. Again, we would like to thank everyone for their submissions. We saw so many great ideas and the jury truly had a tough job choosing the winners.

The jury members were: Dr. Friederike Lutz (Head of School Museum Friedrichshafen), Mag. Roland Jörg (Head of Cultural Affairs of the city of Dornbirn), Dr. Kristin Schmidt (Head of Cultural Affairs, City of St. Gallen, CH), Dipl. Ing. Tobias Maximilian Schnell (visual artist and architect), Mag. Bettina Steindl (project manager Kultur Perspektiven 2024).
